Audi A5 F5 B9 electrically folding mirrors retrofit package

Significantly upgrade your Audi A5 F5 B9 with the original electrically folding exterior mirrors.

Here we supply you with the retrofit package for installing the original electrically folding mirrors - suitable for your AUDI A5 F5 B9.

+ Operation is via the new switch position in the driver's door and the new menu item in your MMI multimedia system.

+ With subsequently available passenger mirror lowering, the right mirror glass goes down when you engage reverse gear.

+ You can select in the MMI whether the mirrors should fold in automatically when you lock your AUDI.

+ We supply the retrofit package appropriate for the chassis number and not a universal solution!

After briefly plugging it into the very easily accessible OBD diagnostic interface in the driver's footwell, the KECODI coding interface supplied here uses the innovative KECODI that is already preset for you to completely automatically activate the electrically folding exterior mirrors, including creating the menu item in your MMI - NO further coding work with a tester is necessary.

Please note the exclusion for vehicles from model year 2023 onwards with installed PR number NI8 (NI8 = Without UNECE CS (R155) and SU (R156) with SFD2-SG) or installed PR number NI7 (NI7 = With UNECE CS (R155) without SU (R156)).

Unfortunately, these models cannot be retrofitted or unlocked.

Vehicles of the model year 2023 with installed PR number NI0 (NI0 = Without UNECE CS&SU) or vehicles of previous model years (e.g. 2022, 2021, etc., where this PR number does not yet exist) can still be retrofitted.

The retrofitting of the two original automatically folding exterior mirrors is possible on all AUDI A5 / S5 / RS5 F5 B9 models of all body styles (coupe, sportback, cabriolet), all years of manufacture (pre-facelift / facelift) and all equipment variants (e.g. suitable for A5 models with or without side assist / lane change assistant, with or without mirror heating, etc.).

We offer retrofit packages for AUDI A5 F5 models with built-in surround camera system (= PR number KA6, with cameras in the exterior mirrors / AreaView) on request (+ approx. 520EUR).

Product compatibility:

Please check whether the two currently installed front door control units are capable of the Highline equipment of the electrically folding exterior mirrors (experience has shown that these are about 80% capable and do NOT need to be replaced).

In general: IF the lane change assistant (= side assist, radar sensors in the rear bumper with LED display in the outside mirror to show objects in the blind spot) is already installed, the door control units are always capable and do not need to be replaced.

You can check the capability of the two currently installed front door control units by reading the part number with a diagnostic system (e.g. KECODI, VCDS, ODIS) or by reading it directly from the door control unit.

The third-to-last digit of the part number is important here. This must be "5" or "7". "3" is unfortunately not possible and must be replaced.

Installation information:

The existing painted mirror housings and the mirror glasses are individual components - these are dismantled and mounted on the new electrically folding mirrors - so they DO NOT need to be replaced.

The cover around the current mirror rotation switch will be replaced because you will later have one more position which can be selected with the rotation switch supplied here.

No further wiring work is necessary - the new mirrors are simply plugged into the door control unit inside the door.
