Air Duct Inlet:

To transport air to the brake cooling outlet, a suitable inlet is essential. The M2 F87 does not have inlet ducts in the front bumper as standard, unlike, for example, the M2 Competition F87N. However, your car does have 2 side radiators behind the bumper! So why not use the existing airflow?

To prevent the air from swirling randomly in the wheel arch after the radiators, we have developed a guide channel that can be installed with minimal effort. It guides the air around the wheel and connects to the outlet via a 40 cm long hose (per side). Our tests have shown that this does not create any significant back pressure behind the radiator, and in the case of extreme speeds and increasing pressure, the channels do not hinder the escaping air behind the radiator.

Air Duct Outlet:

For many vehicles (including the M2), brake cooling is recommended even under moderate loads, even off the racetrack. This not only improves braking performance but also drastically reduces the wear of the friction partners. Our backing plate uses the channeling of the airflow to the center of the brake disc to utilize the turbine effect for cooling the disc from the inside. We direct the air at the disc at a defined angle to avoid scattering losses and to use the available air volume as efficiently as possible. Due to the lightweight construction in combination with powder-coated aluminum, the backing plate is sufficiently strong, yet light and insensitive. In addition, the bearings closest to the brake disc are shielded from the heat to increase their lifespan (if necessary).

In the worst case, the wheel could rub slightly at full steering lock (which should only be the case when parking), which cannot cause damage to the tire. In this case, we would ask you to avoid the last ¼ of the steering turns.
