Das neue 4-fach einstellbare KW V5 Clubsport bietet modernste KW Solid Piston GT3-Motorsportfahrwerktechnologie für die sportlichsten Straßenfahrzeuge mit Sportreifen-Setup für den Einsatz auf der Rennstrecke und auf der Straße. Die gesamte Fahrwerkauslegung des KW V5 Clubsport Gewindefahrwerks mit seinen Uniballagern ist für den Einsatz von Semislickreifen bei seriennahen Fahrzeugen ausgelegt.

KW Solid Piston Technology für Rennstrecke und Straße

Im Gegensatz zu Schwingungsdämpfern mit überströmten Arbeitskolben nutzt KW beim KW V5 Clubsport Gewindefahrwerk seine im Motorsport bewährte und bei Fahrzeugen wie BMW M4 GT3 und Porsche 911 GT3 R homologierte KW Solid Piston Technology (Verdrängerkolbenaufbau). Die in den Lowspeed- und Highspeed-Kräften separat einstellbaren Druck- und Zugstufenventile sind vom Dämpferinnenrohr und der Kolbenstange getrennt angeordnet. Dadurch bietet das KW V5 Clubsport mit einstellbarer KW SPCLH-A (KW Solid Piston Compression Low- und Highspeed Adjustable) Druckstufendämpfung und der KW SPRLH-A (KW Solid Piston Rebound Low- und Highspeed Adjustable) Zugstufendämpfung deutliche Mehrwerte.

Bei aggressiven Lenkmanövern und einer extremen Kompression bleibt der Karosserieaufbau perfekt abgestützt. Durch die einstellbare Mehrventiltechnologie dämpft das KW V5 Clubsport Bodenwellen und verhältnismäßig große Querfugen sauber. Selbst beim Anschneiden von Curbs bleiben seriennahe Sportwagen mit dem KW V5 Clubsport Gewindefahrwerk sicher kontrollierbar. Die Einstellmöglichkeiten in der Höhe ermöglichen eine Anpassung der Radlasten. Die Einstellmöglichkeiten, kombiniert mit der separat in Druck- und Zugstufe einstellbaren Dämpfungstechnik (SPCLH-A und SPRLH-A Technologie), ermöglichen individuelle Setups passend zum Fahrzeuggewicht, den Reifencharakteristiken, unterschiedlichen Streckenbeschaffenheiten und Einsatzbedingungen – dank Mehrventiltechnologie und Teilegutachten kann das KW V5 Clubsport Gewindefahrwerk auch im öffentlichen Straßenverkehr genutzt werden.
