ST suspensions sport springs, manufactured in OEM quality from chrome-silicon steel using a cold winding process, are multi-tempered and have a final epoxy coating. This makes them resistant to a wide variety of weather conditions. Depending on the vehicle model, ST suspensions sport springs can achieve subtle lowerings of, for example, 20 mm at the front and 15 mm on the drive axle of the current BMW M3 (E9x series), an attractive 30 mm on both axles of the Audi A1, or up to 60 mm on the VW Golf I. When ST suspensions sport springs are installed, not only is the body's center of gravity lowered compared to the standard suspension, but the driving dynamics also benefit. In the event of strong steering movements, such as evasive maneuvers and fast cornering, body movements are reduced due to the lower rolling tendency. Furthermore, compression and rebound are reduced, making handling more agile.

The spring rates of the ST suspensions sport springs harmonize perfectly with the tuning of the standard dampers. After all, ST suspensions sport springs, in conjunction with the respective vehicle weight, wheel loads and the level of the intended lowering, have a great influence on the compression and rebound behavior of the standard suspension. The ST suspensions sport springs, made of chrome-silicon steel, not only support the vehicle weight, but also guarantee a more direct driving experience thanks to the specially tuned spring rates. Depending on the level of lowering, for example with a reduction in the center of gravity of 20 mm, 30 mm or 40 mm, ST suspensions sport springs have different spring rates that harmonize with the standard dampers. The greater the level of lowering, the higher the spring rate.
