Description
Significantly upgrade your VW Caddy SA with the original light/rain sensor.
The windshield wipers switch on or off automatically when it rains - the headlights switch from daytime running lights to dipped beam when it gets dark.
Here we provide you with the retrofit package for this retrofit.
A significant increase in the comfort of your VW Caddy SA.
Scope of delivery:
- - 1x original VW Caddy SA light/rain sensor including gel pad (depending on model)
- - 1x original VW Caddy SA light switch with additional "AUTO" position (depending on model)
- - 1x Original VW Caddy SA Gelpad (depending on model)
- - 1x pre-assembled cable set
- - 1x installation instructions (German)

Product attributes:
The retrofitting of the original light/rain sensor is possible on all VW Caddy SA models of all years of manufacture, all equipment variants and all body styles.
EVERY windshield with a built-in "metal bracket" for the interior mirror and EVERY vehicle electronics are already capable from the factory - these do NOT need to be replaced.
The existing interior mirror is simply unscrewed and the light/rain sensor is installed behind the interior mirror instead of the "blind cover" there.
If the currently installed interior mirror is only attached to the window with an adhesive dot, the windscreen must be replaced with a pane with a bracket and the interior mirror. In these cases, we recommend upgrading to the automatically dimming interior mirror at the same time.
In models with an automatically dimming interior mirror already installed, the windshield is always capable and does NOT need to be replaced.
If there is NO bridge installed that leads from the mirror to the roof lining, then NO suitable windscreen is installed (see product image).
The interior mirror has NOTHING to do with a light/rain sensor - this is a separate component which is NOT in the mirror but on the window.
We supply you with the appropriate light/rain sensor for your model (depending on the installed electronics/model year, etc.) as well as the appropriate light switch (depending on the headlights, fog lights, etc.).
