VW Golf 8 CD LED contour lighting in the radiator grille retrofit package

Significantly enhance your VW Golf 8 CD with the original LED contour lighting in the radiator grille.

With this retrofit package, the illuminated ID.Light LED light bar in the radiator grille (= below the bonnet) can be retrofitted in your VW Golf 8.

Your VW Golf 8 shines with a "new" splendor, especially at night.

Of course, the contour lighting also lights up while driving!

After briefly plugging it into the very easily accessible OBD diagnostic interface in the driver's footwell, the KECODI coding interface supplied here uses the innovative KECODI that is already preset for you to fully automatically activate the LED contour lighting.

Another important advantage for you:

• There is NO need to visit your VOLKSWAGEN partner's workshop!
• The unlocking (also known colloquially as "GEKO" / "SFD") as well as the complete activation (= the coding / parameterization and the final deletion of the error memory) is carried out automatically by KECODI in the shortest possible time!

Since the lighting is of course connected and activated as installed at the factory, all lighting functions are available!

In the KECODI activation you can specify when the LED contour lighting should light up (e.g. only when Coming/Home - Leaving Home, only with the dipped beam or even when AUTO - daytime running lights are switched on).

Please select the desired color of the decorative strip in the radiator grille.

Please note the exclusion for vehicles from model year 2023 onwards with installed PR number NI8 (NI8 = Without UNECE CS (R155) and SU (R156) with SFD2-SG) or installed PR number NI7 (NI7 = With UNECE CS (R155) without SU (R156)) or installed PR number NI9 (NI9 = With UNECE CS&SU) or installed PR number NI1 (NI1 = With UNECE CS&SU).

Unfortunately, these models cannot be retrofitted or unlocked.

Vehicles from model year 2023 with installed PR number NI0 (NI0 = Without UNECE CS&SU) can only be upgraded to a limited extent. Please contact us in advance with the chassis number so that we can check this. Vehicles from previous model years (e.g. 2022, 2021, 2020, etc., where this PR number does not yet exist) can still be retrofitted.

Product attributes:

The retrofitting of the original, white illuminated LED contour lighting (= light bar in the radiator grille with white LEDs) with E-test mark (therefore registration-free) is possible for all VW Golf 8 CD models of all years of manufacture, all body styles (including Variant) and all exterior equipment variants (e.g. PR number: 2JG, 2JX, 2JB, 2JD).

Choose for yourself whether you want to install the LED grille with chrome trim strips or the LED grille with glossy black trim strips (installed on the VW Golf 8 R / R-Line) or the LED grille with red trim strips (installed on the VW Golf 8 GTI).

You can combine these freely, each variant is suitable for every Golf 8.

The LED lighting is activated completely independently and in one step using the included KECODI coding interface.

During the activation, you can choose when the new LED lights between the headlights should light up. This is possible for Coming/Home - Leaving Home, with the dipped beam and/or just when the daytime running lights are switched on. All options are open and can be freely adjusted, just as you wish. The KECODI activation asks you here during the activation, you can repeat this as often as you like to change the lighting function.

Further information:

The VW logo is a separate component which is taken from the existing radiator grille and transferred to the original radiator grille with IQ.Light LED light strip supplied here. This logo is simply plugged in and can be exchanged very easily. If you would like to combine the conversion with the installation of the black VW Golf 8 logo, you can also order the black VW Golf 8 emblem for the front under item number: 11853.

The variant with chrome trim strips would be installed at the factory for the exterior equipment variants with PR number: 2JD, 2JB

The version with glossy black decorative stripes would be installed at the factory on the R/GTI exterior equipment variants with PR number: 2JG, 2JQ, 2JW. This also includes the mount for the R/GTI lettering. Many customers also install the R/GTI lettering here.

The version with red decorative stripes would be installed at the factory on the GTI exterior equipment variants with PR number: 2JG
