VW ID.5 rear view camera retrofit package

Here we provide you with the complete package for retrofitting the original rear view camera WITH dynamic guide lines and WITH integrated cleaning function (= spray nozzle) in your VW ID5

+ as installed at the factory

+ Optical display of the live image on the screen as well as the active / moving auxiliary lines when steering

+ With cleaning function! When you activate the spray/wipe function of the rear window wiper, the lens of the rear view camera is also cleaned with a water jet.

After briefly plugging it into the very easily accessible OBD diagnostic interface in the driver's footwell, the KECODI coding interface supplied here completes the automatic activation of the rear view camera with the help of the innovative KECODI that is already preset for you.

No further activations or even a visit to your VW partner's workshop are necessary; the KECODI completes the full activation of the rear view camera in just a few seconds.

Please note the exclusion for vehicles from model year 2023 onwards with installed PR number NI8 (NI8 = Without UNECE CS (R155) and SU (R156) with SFD2-SG) or installed PR number NI7 (NI7 = With UNECE CS (R155) without SU (R156)) or installed PR number NI9 (NI9 = With UNECE CS&SU) or installed PR number NI1 (NI1 = With UNECE CS&SU).

Unfortunately, these models cannot be retrofitted or unlocked.

Vehicles from model year 2023 with installed PR number NI0 (NI0 = Without UNECE CS&SU) can only be upgraded to a limited extent. Please contact us in advance with the chassis number so that we can check this. Vehicles from previous model years (e.g. 2022, 2021, 2020, etc., where this PR number does not yet exist) can still be retrofitted.

Retrofitting the original rear view camera with dynamic guide lines is possible on all VW ID.5 models of all years of manufacture and all equipment variants with one of the following installed multimedia systems:

Navigation (PR number: 7UT)

Cockpit infotainment (PR number: 8AS)

NOT suitable for other multimedia systems.

Suitable for all equipment variants with all parking aid systems (e.g. parking aid front + rear PR no. 7X2, parking steering assistant IPA Intelligent Park Assist PR no. 8A2 or parking steering assistant RPA Remote Park Assist 8A5).

An automatic switchover occurs when reverse gear is engaged or when the parking aid button is pressed, including dynamic guide line display from the rear view camera.

In addition, you also get the very convenient cleaning function, which allows you to clean a dirty lens of the reversing camera conveniently with a jet of water from the spray nozzle of the reversing camera. This is particularly convenient in the winter months and significantly increases the usefulness of the reversing camera.
