The Competition Package for the Audi RS4 B9 consists of the intercooler upgrade kit and the water cooler upgrade kit.

The Intercooler Upgrade Kit:

The 2.9 liter V6 biturbo engine (VW EA839) of the Audi RS4 models is equipped with an indirect charge air cooling circuit. The cooling process of the charge air is therefore realized by a water-cooled intercooler, which is replaced by the WagnerTuning high-performance intercooler.

The WAGNERTUNING high-performance intercooler features an innovative performance core with dimensions of 222 mm x 200 mm x 120 mm. This was specially developed for the high demands of the RS4/RS5 engine and offers 185% more external core volume compared to the original intercooler. The ratio between internal and external cooling surface used generates maximum heat transfer and simultaneously allows for optimal internal airflow. The cast aluminum end tanks were designed in CAD and optimized with the help of CFD simulations. The result is excellent cooling properties with minimal back pressure. This kit is therefore also suitable for racing. Optimal cooling of the charged air with a significant increase in performance!

All WAGNERTUNING intercoolers are equipped with a thermally conductive anti-corrosion coating to ensure a lasting cooling effect. The installation of the system is also straightforward and plug & play with the help of our installation instructions.

The Water Cooler Upgrade Kit:

The 2.9L V6 biturbo engine of the Audi RS4 / RS5 is equipped with an indirect charge air cooling circuit. The cooling process of the charge air is therefore not (as usual) realized with ambient air as the cooling medium, but rather with the help of its own cooling water circuit. A reduction in the cooling water temperature therefore directly equates to improved charge air cooling performance. This is precisely where the advantages of the WAGNERTUNING upgrade water cooler come into play.

The newly developed Competition - racing core of the WAGNERTUNING high-performance water cooler increases the radiator volume of the series water cooler by a total of 55%. The ratio between internal and external cooling surface used generates maximum heat transfer and at the same time allows adjacent components (e.g., the engine water cooler located behind it) sufficient airflow for their heat exchange. Furthermore, the water coolers are equipped with a thermally conductive anti-corrosion coating to ensure a lasting cooling effect.
