The new EVO3.X core variant was developed in collaboration with a renowned Audi tuner and is suitable for power increases above 600hp. The size of the intercooler remains unchanged from the standard version. Only the internal core structure has been optimized and adapted for high power classes. Thus, the EVO3.X ensures optimal charge air flow with very good cooling performance. For all power classes below 600hp, we recommend continuing to use the standard version.
The high-performance intercooler has the following core dimensions (515mm x 367mm x 95mm [stepped] = 16.5L) and thus offers an 84% larger frontal area and 101% more charge air volume compared to the original intercooler. The newly developed Competition high-performance core allows sufficient airflow to adjacent components, such as the water cooler. It is a high-quality Tube Fin core with internal turbulators. The end tanks of the intercooler are made of cast aluminum and have been optimized under flow analyses in the CFD system. With the help of integrated air guides at the inlet, a uniform filling of the intercooler is ensured. The result is excellent cooling properties with minimal back pressure. This kit is therefore perfectly suited for racing. In addition, all our intercoolers have an anti-corrosion coating with thermal conductivity properties. This guarantees lasting and optimal cooling with a significant increase in performance. The intercooler and the cross member form a stable unit and, thanks to the new Competition high-performance core, weighs only 14.3kg. Installation is at the original mounting points and is easy to carry out (1:1 replacement). Tested up to 6 bar and pressure stable. All our products are subject to constant quality monitoring.
