The 4.0L V8 Biturbo engine of the Audi RS6 and RS7 models is equipped with an indirect charge air cooling circuit. The charge air cooling process is therefore not realized (as usual) with ambient air as the cooling medium, but with the help of its own cooling water circuit. A reduction in the cooling water temperature is therefore directly equivalent to improved cooling performance of the charge air. This is precisely where the advantages of the WAGNERTUNING auxiliary water coolers come into play.
The newly developed Competition – racing core of the WAGNERTUNING high-performance water cooler increases the radiator volume of the standard water cooler by an additional 65%. The ratio between internal and external cooling surface used generates maximum heat transfer and simultaneously allows sufficient airflow to adjacent components (e.g., the engine water cooler located behind it) for their heat exchange. Furthermore, the water coolers are equipped with a thermally conductive anti-corrosion coating to ensure a lasting cooling effect. The installation of the system is also uncomplicated and plug & play with the help of our installation instructions.
