The 4.0L V8 twin-turbo engine of the Audi S6 and S7 models is equipped with an indirect charge air cooling circuit. The charge air cooling process is therefore not realized (as usual) with the ambient air as the cooling medium, but with the help of its own cooling water circuit. A reduction in the cooling water temperature is therefore directly equivalent to an improved cooling performance of the charge air. This is precisely where the advantages of the WAGNERTUNING auxiliary water coolers come into play.
The newly developed Competition - motorsport core of the WAGNERTUNING high-performance water cooler expands the radiator volume of the series water cooler by another 92%. The ratio used between the inner and outer cooling surface generates maximum heat transfer and simultaneously allows sufficient airflow to the adjacent components (e.g. the engine water cooler behind it) for their heat exchange. Furthermore, the water coolers are equipped with a heat-conducting anti-corrosion coating, ensuring a long-lasting cooling effect. The installation of the system is also uncomplicated and plug & play with the help of our installation instructions.
