COMPETITION INTERCOOLER KIT BMW F80-82-83-87 M2/M3/M4
The 3.0 liter S55B30 turbo engine of the BMW M2 Competition / M3 / M4 models is equipped with an indirect charge air cooling circuit. The cooling process of the charge air is therefore realized by a water-cooled intercooler, which is replaced by the WagnerTuning high-performance intercooler.
The WAGNERTUNING high-performance intercooler has a new Competition core (Tube Fin) with dimensions of 287 mm x 185 mm x 115 mm. This was specially developed for the high demands of the S55 engine and offers 114% more external core volume compared to the original intercooler. The ratio between the internal and external cooling surface used generates maximum heat transfer and simultaneously enables the best possible internal airflow. The cast aluminum end tanks were designed in CAD and optimized with the aid of CFD simulations. The result is excellent cooling properties with the lowest possible back pressure. Thus, this kit is also suitable for racing. Optimal cooling of the charged air with a significant increase in performance!
All WAGNERTUNING intercoolers are equipped with a thermally conductive anti-corrosion coating, ensuring a permanent cooling effect. The installation of the system is also uncomplicated and plug & play with the help of our installation instructions.

Note:
To enable the installation of the intercooler on the BMW M2 Competition, the bonnet must be slightly modified. To do this, use a body saw or similar to remove the marked area inside the bonnet. If necessary, the original bracket frame of the intercooler may also need to be slightly bent so that the intercooler sits as close as possible above the intake manifold.
